Collaborating as an outsourced team, we enhanced and expanded an existing software system for the sawmill industry, focusing on automating and optimizing the initial log sorting and measurement process. Our work included refining algorithms for precise log assessment and integrating new features to ensure seamless communication with downstream production systems. Through advanced data collection, processing, and analytics, we provided sawmill operators with actionable insights, significantly improving decision-making and reducing manual tasks across all operational phases. This upgrade streamlined production flow, minimized bottlenecks, and ensured consistent throughput and quality standards.
