Optical Race Timing and Live Results Platform

Optical Race Timing and Live Results Platform

We are the outsourced development team behind SeeMeRunning’s next-generation race timing platform. It replaces transponders and chips with camera-based optical detection. Our work covers the whole chain, from the finish line to the public results page.

On site, we built offline-tolerant edge services that run trackside. They turn raw detections from cameras and recognition systems into live timing results, consolidate event and participant metadata, and sync results to the cloud when connectivity allows. An operator verification tool lets timers review and correct uncertain detections manually, so results stay accurate without slowing the race down.

In the cloud, we developed services and web apps for event and race configuration, competitor management (including import from registration platforms), results ingestion, and public results hosting. Runners and spectators can look up their times on a fast public results site. A commentator view and a partner API serve announcers and third-party integrations. Organizers also get automated PDF reports and CSV exports for each event. Each event’s results are stored in their own database, and access is secured with role-based authentication.

Beyond development, we take part in live events, supporting races both on site and remotely to make sure timing and results run smoothly from start to finish.
